S.N.A.P Aquatics Program
Sydney Gymnastic and Aquatic Centre (SGAC) prides itself on providing access to all people regardless of ages, backgrounds and abilities. SGAC’s Special Needs Assistance Program (SNAP) is a swimming program for people with intellectual and/or physical disabilities.
The Aim of SNAP Aquatics
SNAP Aquatics aims to develop multiple aquatic based skills for all people with an intellectual and/or physical disability. SGAC’s Learn to Swim SNAP lessons are 30 minutes in duration and strive to build the participant’s confidence, abilities and enjoyment in the water. There are four progressions starting with Level 1 through to Level 4.
The Development Squad
The Development Squad is designed to be a bridge between the SNAP Program and our mainstream Learn to Swim and Squad Programs. Training sessions run for 60 minutes.
