S.N.A.P Gymnastics Program
Sydney Gymnastic and Aquatic Centre (SGAC) prides itself on providing access to all people regardless of ages, backgrounds and abilities. Gymnastics is suited to everybody as it helps with physical fitness and development and there are social benefits from participating in classes. SGAC provides the Special Needs Assistance Program (SNAP) gymnastics program for people with intellectual and/or physical disabilities.
What is SNAP Gymnastics?
SNAP Gymnastics is a class specifically designed for children with special needs. The class focusses on building developmental skills to improve their daily living through physical and social activity. It is a parent assisted program that allows you to spend some one on one time with your child, allowing you to bond and achieve milestones together.
SGAC allows children with special needs to fully participate in sport in a safe environment, as we encourage inclusivity. All our coaches are passionate and accredited to ensure your child can develop and achieve goals you never thought were possible.
Benefits of SNAP include:
- Safe physical activity
- Promotes flexibility, strength and coordination
- Allows parents and children to bond and socialise
- A scheduled activity to help establish routine
- Establishing and achieving goals
