Based at Greater Western Sydney’s West HQ, the Academy was established to encourage participation in gymnastic sports and to provide assistance and support to competitive and high performance athletes in their quest to achieve Olympic and World Championship representation.
The Academy supports athletes with the provision of funds through Scholarship grants and travel subsidies, and the Athlete Support Program. Enabling them to compete in accredited sporting events.
The academy identifies, supports and develops young athletes, who can compete at National, World Championship and the Olympic level.
This support is governed by both the 2024 Scholarship Policy and the 2024 Travel Subsidy Policy.
The Academy is governed by an independent board consisting of three directors:
The Board meets twice a year to consider applications from athletes and reviews and updates its policies on an annual basis.
